The ICCF aims to develop science-based technical guidance documents supporting the feed industry in assessing its products and aid in preparing pre-market assessment submissions.

The International Cooperation for the Convergence of Technical Requirements for the Assessment of Feed Ingredients (ICCF) was created in 2017. It was founded by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC), the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), the European Commission (DG SANTE), the EU Association of Specialty Feed Ingredients and their Mixtures (FEFANA), and the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF).

AFMA is a member of the International Feed Industry Federation. The South African feed regulator has accepted ICCF guidance documents for local pre-market assessments for farm feed registrations under Act 36 of 1947. The guidance documents can be found on the ICCF website or downloaded below.
